Directing: Thadd Turner is the right director for the right time.

Finding an experienced film director capable of handling the principal duties of making your movie is not an easy task. Most budget sizes today require a competent director that can think fast on their feet, & has a trustworthy & familiar team surrounding him.

Working with a professional director like Thadd, who understands the actor's emotional ranges & can capture that essence of their performance with a limited amount of camera set ups & takes, is key to completing the daily work-flow, & help keep your film on budget. Regardless of bad weather, sick actors or crew, funding shortages, & all the other myriad of problems your film may encounter, the director must be the one person who can take any situation & have the foresight & vision to keep your film production on track to completion.

In addition, Thadd's post production experience is essential to help complete your movie for delivery to it's distributors. Contact Now to set up an interview.

Open fast on a low flying Black Hawk helicopter that moves quickly over the jungles of Latin America, where pilots SAM GRANT and RICK THOMPSON bicker about who is the best pilot, as they drop to the deck and help evacuate a special ops team under heavy gunfire from Latin drug cartel militia. The night sky explodes around them as Rick saves Sam's ass.

Swipe across the grass covered Arizona-Mexico border, where Sam’s wife ANN runs their small cattle operation with her father JIMMY whose family owns a small copper mine across the border in Mexico. It's been around since before the Pancho Villa revolution. Sam and Rick take a much deserved furlough at the ranch to recover from the firefight in the jungle, when the visit the copper mine and a cave-in reveals a large gold deposit instead. Sam and Ann hire the most affordable hard rock mining crew to help extract the valuable metal, a tough-ass group of South African ex-military types led by non-nonsense crew chief JAN VERGAARD.

The South Africans show up with the latest mining technology and quickly excavate several million dollars of high value gold much to the surprise of Sam, Rick, and Ann. The gold prompts the arrival of a Mexican Army under the command of CAPTAIN CRUZ, who quickly confiscate the gold for the Mexican government, but not before Vergaard and his miners reveal themselves as ruthless Mercenaries intent on using the gold to re-establish a white South Africa dominated government. They shoot down the Mexican soldiers, along with Ann’s father Jimmy, catching a surprised Sam and Rick in the crossfire.

Vergaard and crew take the gold deeper into Mexico, as a wounded Captain Cruz gives chase, wrongly assuming Sam and Rick were responsible for the deaths of his soldiers. The two Americans running for their lives form the Mexican Army, are unable to get back over the border into the U.S., and now decide to chase down Vergaard and his mercenaries to get their gold back and clear their names. Rick blames the entire mess on Sam.

Ann crosses the border to help, as a three-way chase develops that turns into a non-stop action romp through the high deserts, jungles, and mountains of Northern Mexico, finally coming to a smashing halt at an abandoned World War II munitions airbase where the South Africans plan to fly the stolen gold out of the country. Ann ends up in the middle of the fight and is taken captive by Vergaard, as Sam and Rick battle the South Africans and the Mexican Army and try to get their gold back, save Ann and clear their names.
Uniquely situated on both sides of the international boundary, The Papago reservation is a perfect entry into the U.S. for cocaine, marijuana, meth, and other contraband. Kyle prefers action over tactics, and uses brute force with the Indians to get what he wants as he tries to stop the Cartels. However, Kyle has a bigger nemesis in the form of U.S. prosecutor Jack Tanner, a Ndee mixed Apache and Mexican, who is trying to have Kyle stripped of his duties at the DEA. Kyle begins to suspect Tanner is receiving money from the drug cartels.

Reporter Ellen Moore investigates Kyle’s hard methods against the Papago Indians, she tries to show him the Third World poverty and little hope many Indians face day to day on the border. Her people are be used by the Cartels as drug runners, as their only source of income. Tribal Chief of Police Floyd wants to help Kyle, he’s tired of watching his people lose their values, traditions, and self-worth to the drug trade. Tanner is playing Kyle hard, criticizing him for his brutality to the Indians and setting him up as the fall guy for his own plans to control the drug trade across the reservation. Tanner plays both sides of the fence, as respected prosecutor and as specialized commercial agent for the Cartel. Educated and highly intelligence, he spanks the cartels when necessary, but profits under the table from their illegal drug business.

Reporter Ellen was born on the reservation and has lost her father and young brother to the drug wars. Ellen is an active supporter of the Indian cause, criticizing Kyle for his harsh treatment of her people. When Kyle’s partner Gonzales is brutally killed by Pablito and Ellen is kidnaped, Kyle must fight his way into the Cartel inner circle, only to find Police Chief Floyd on the Cartel payroll, as now Kyle realizes he must begin to help the Indian people break the strangle hold of the Cartel’s brutal grasp in a final showdown of non-stop hard action. Kyle and Ellen take down Tanner, Floyd, and the Cartel, stopping the onslaught of drugs, but only temporarily, as Kyle decides to make a bigger difference on the border. He quits the DEA and becomes the new Chief of Police for the reservation and its people. Walking tall protecting the border.
just broken up his girlfriend Vicki’s

him in his place. It’s
business as usual. He discovers that the boys once trained with his father,
Granger, a seventy year
old boxing instructor who adopted Brutus as a kid and owns a popular gym in one
of the lower wards of the
city. Granger works with the inner city kids, giving them life values and

spreading drugs and pain throughout the city, corrupting and gutting the
foundation of decency. Now
he wants Granger’s gym and the old neighborhood in the lower ward, but Brutus,
the former Gulf War combat Marine isn’t ready to let his father give it up so
easy. Masoni sends his goons to take the gym by force and they kill Granger. Brutus

Brutus has a plan. He tells John Boy and Lee they need to take out

furious, one night, one city, five gangs. Every one of them has sworn to allegiance

and fear. Lee and John Boy think it’s a crazy idea. Brutus tells them there is
no other way. Lee learns
that his younger sister Lisa has been taken by Masoni, s who kidnaps young girls

Open on small-town main street Bisbee, Arizona circa 1927, where children happily race past red brick buildings, their bright reflections and laughter etched across plate glass windows, now reaching a large baseball stadium where the enthusiastic crowd loudly cheer for their local team, the Copper Kings, young boys of summer playing an exhibition game against the powerful World Champion New York Yankees….

Modern day. Loud rap music fills the air, group of middle aged late thirty and early forty-something misfits stand on the field against a much younger rival team from Tucson. Pitcher/manager Ray Billings releases another fast ball. Hear the loud THUNK of aluminum against rawhide, as the opposing batter smacks another homerun and two more runs score, the thirteenth and fourteenth of the day. Half a dozen older octogenarians sit in the stands sucking on oxygen and barely notice. This is the Copper Kings of today. No wins in over five terrible years. Fourteen year old Tyler Walsh, the team’s scorekeeper, shouts the only encouragement from his usual spot behind the foul ball net: “Hey, you guys stink! I wanna go home!”

Later that night, we meet Tyler’s single mom, Sue Walsh, the local fire chief. Tyler’s dad Scott, a former Triple A baseball player, left them when Tyler was only three. Sue and pitcher/manager Ray soon begin to date, which bothers Tyler. The team is still losing. Patricia Dodge, the team’s uncaring owner, who hates baseball, announces that she’s selling the Copper Kings historic stadium before the end of the season to an investment group. The copper mines in Bisbee closed years ago and most of the older residents are dying off, the stadium property is needed for a new cemetery. The Copper Kings are down to their last out. Bones, the stadium’s ancient janitor, tells Ray they have a major water leak under the grandstands that needs fixing right away, it can’t wait. Bones leads Ray and some of the team players into the bowels of the old stadium to make repairs, Ray and the others rip out chunks of old plaster and wainscoting....then as if waiting to be found, the team discover an old bag of baseball equipment -- soon realizing it was left there years earlier by the 1927 World Champion Yankees -- names like Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Tony Lazzeri, Earl Combs, and Joe Dugan are on the line up sheet inside the bag....

Most of the team wants to sell the equipment on Ebay and save the stadium, manager Ray feels the bats and gloves belong in Cooperstown. Patricia Dodge learns of the find and tells Ray she’s the rightful owner. Ray decides to use the old gear as a publicity gimmick. The team will use the bats and gloves for one game. An old timer’s game. Big Louie, the team’s right fielder, who hasn’t had a base hit in almost three years, comes to the plate and smashes a 500 foot home run over the centerfield fence. The rest of the team watches in amazement then quickly grabs the old equipment and start hitting and fielding like their possessed by the Yankee ghosts of past years. The team starts wining and becomes unstoppable, the media now gets wind of the story. It’s an amazing story. Rumors fly around the baseball parks that the equipment is magic. ESPN is on hand to watch the Copper Kings qualify for the semi-pro National Championships, where Patricia Dodge now manages to steal the equipment just before the big game. The Copper Kings takes the field without their magic equipment and play like the losers of the past. Until Tyler, tired of the fiasco unfolding, gives them a pep talk in the seventh inning and the team begins to play like a winning team again, realizing it was their talent, enthusiasm, and hard drinking that got them to the championship game in the first place. It all comes down to the last out with Ray now at bat. He’s ready to make a difference….if only he can just get around the bases and score the winning run….
Loud smashing of hard plastic helmets, crushing blows and grunts, camera spins around inside the view of fourteen-year-old quarterback Johnny Kidd’s helmet, as he’s smashed to the ground under a crushing pile of pop warner football players. Best friend and center Otis offers a not so gentle hand up, as pretty Jordan, toughest player on the team, runs up and slaps Johnny across the helmet for not passing again to her. Jordan and Johnny lock eyes, and we know she wishes they we’re more than friends. Watching from the stands, Johnny’s sea-salty grandfather, Frank, gives two thumbs up, but knows it’s a hopeless fight on the field. Grandpa Frank worked the seas all his life, Johnny’s father Robby, a popular newspaper sports columnist, and mother Maggie, chairperson of the Treasure Bay waterfront restoration committee, don’t like Frank’s bold tales of blood thirsty pirates and lost treasures that always capture Johnny’s attention. Johnny’s older sister Anne, has just left home and moved in with boyfriend, Calico Jack, a Harley Davidson motorcycle rider, much to her parent’s disdain. Local treasure salvage operator, Don Gaspar, mysterious and handsome, is one of Maggie’s biggest donators for the waterfront restoration project. Gaspar has been looking for the lost treasure of Espanola for over thirty years and holds the lost contents to an ancient treasure chest in a warehouse right in the middle of the restoration project. Grandpa Frank and Gaspar are hiding a buried past together.

Grandpa Frank has a strange survey map, like a pirate’s treasure map, he keeps notes and charts, and teaches Johnny to read the night time sky with an old mariner’s spyglass. Frank tells Johnny the story of the fierce sea battle between the British Navy and the famous pirate captain William Kidd, whom was related to them, and after being blown up and sinking to the bottom of the ocean disrupted a buried treasure chest on the sea floor that held Poseidon’s all-powerful trident. Captain Kidd took the trident and raised his ship to the ocean’s surface, to sail the seven seas seeking revenge against the British and other enemies. Johnny learns of the notorious Spanish pirate Jose Gasparilla, who would do anything to get the trident from Captain Kidd and rule the seas. Frank tells Johnny his is part of an ongoing story from the past, now telling him that only Johnny can find the key to the lost treasure chest that holds Poseidon’s trident.

Soon after Johnny’s fifteenth birthday, Frank suddenly dies leaving Johnny wondering if his story about Captain Kidd was true. Best friends Jordan and Otis try to console Johnny, as now with their help, they begin to search through Frank’s ancient notes trying to solve the mystery of the survey map which Johnny is certain leads to Poseidon’s lost trident.

Salvage operator Gaspar wants Grandpa Frank’s survey map. Johnny discovers a hidden message inside Frank’s spyglass which leads him and his friends to the Tampa Bay Nautical Museum. They find additional clues etched on the hand guard of Spanish pirate Jose Gasparilla’s original cutlass boldly on display. The next stop is Raymond James Stadium, home of the NFL Tampa Bay Buccaneers. They are followed by Gaspar and his henchmen. The teenagers make it to the stadium just as a midday solar eclipse occurs, and Johnny using the spyglass, witnesses an incredible burst of celestial light striking the playing field revealing where the treasure chest holding the trident is located – right on the fifty yard line! During the huge half time performance, the teenagers make their way toward the middle of the field, avoiding security and crawling under a temporary stage set up for the half time band Coldplay performing above. They start digging and discover a small metal box with a skeleton key hidden inside.

Johnny and his friends are captured as they try to leave the stadium. Gaspar appears on the scene, taking the skeleton key to Poseidon’s chest. With the help of sister Anne and some of boyfriend Calico Jack’s Harley motorcycle riding friends, the teenagers escape the stadium and make way for an old light house on the sea shore where they are caught underneath and narrowly escape a tidal flood after finding another clue to the chests whereabouts. They see Gaspar’s salvage vessel tied on the docks in the restoration project area and go there. Parents Robby and Maggie now follow with the Tampa Bay police in hot pursuit and discover the teenagers and the treasure chest holding Poseidon’s trident are in Gaspar’s possession.

Gaspar inserts the key found at the stadium and opens Poseidon’s chest, releasing a brilliant golden light now engulfing and transforming everyone into their true forms of pirates from the past except Johnny. Gaspar is transformed into Gasparilla his true identity, while Robby, Maggie and Anne change to their pirate alter egos and do battle with the pirate crew, as now Johnny, Jordan and Otis pitch in among the chaos, fighting the pirates on deck, and pushing Poseidon’s chest overboard back into the sea where it came from!

Gasparilla’s ship begins to shake violently, as now another brilliant flash of enormous light engulfs the deck, and the shape of a man begins to appear – Grandpa Frank, now the form of the younger Captain Kidd. Johnny’s grandpa has got unfinished business with avowed enemy the bloody pirate Captain Gasparilla, as the two legendary pirate captains do battle for the all-powerful trident.
Screenplay Synopsis

Ace Carnahan, last of a dying breed, travels in an ancient Winnebago motor home pulling a two-horse trailer with his misfit menagerie of Wild West show animals - grey timber wolf ‘Wolf’, shaggy buffalo ‘Henry’ and stunt horse ‘Sundance’, all whom have seen better days. A former rodeo circuit bronco rider, Ace follows the trail of a low-budget Wild West Show.

Chased into New Mexico from Texas for causing a disturbance by a determined Sheriff Banta, Ace unwillingly collects sixteen-year-old Jennie, a smart mouth young girl living at an orphanage and being readied for State reform school. Jennie reluctant to be drug to a new home hides in Ace's motor home, showing up in New Mexico, putting Ace in a tough spot to explain.

The pair are complete opposites. Ace, the quiet one, distrusts everyone, especially smart mouth kids. Jennie the talker, distrusts civil authority and those that offer help. Ace is unable to shake himself of Jennie and allows her to stay temporarily with the Wild West show until he can figure out how to explain her appearance without going to jail. The plan is to deliver her to an unseen aunt in El Paso. Jennie believes in God, but is uncertain of his message. Ace attempts to make amends with his former fiancé Rose, the star performer of the Wild West show. She still hasn’t forgiven Ace for breaking his promise to marry and leaving her alone at the alter four years earlier. Rose and Jennie soon form a close relationship, as Rose tells Jennie that she is was also an orphan and learned that her inner strength came from her belief in the kindness of others.

Bruce, the Wild West show’s popular stunt daredevil motorcycle rider is a trouble maker with a big egotistic attitude and eyes for Rose, much to Ace's dislike. Things heat up between the two men when Bruce tries to claim Rose as his girlfriend, much to Rose’s discomfort. Show owner Roy squelches the exploding conflict at the end of a shotgun, but not before Rose has had enough of both men's selfish interests and distances herself further from Ace. Jennie and Ace soon begin to realize that they both have more in common than not, and a new relationship blooms between them with Rose’s help, while Ace helps Jennie find out about her real parents. The pair are eventually chased down by a determined Sheriff Banta, who arrives unannounced to reclaim Jennie for Texas, as now Ace must make a decision: adopt Jennie and gain Rose's trust again, or continue to run from his past and lose both forever.

Screenplay Synopsis

Open on a dark highway where a fast moving station wagon rolls down the road from a weekend camping trip. Alan Reynolds at the wheel, his fiancée, Bree Tanner, struggles to control her argumentative children, Skylar and Travis. Everyone is so angry they are paying no attention to the outside world -- when a dark figure staggers onto the highway in front of Alan's oncoming headlights. Bree screams, Alan reacts too late, smashing into the stranger. Alan loses control and crashes into the woods. They’re not sure if it was an animal or a man. When Alan goes back to the impact site, there’s plenty of blood on the asphalt, but no body.

Alan and Bree seek help at a secluded Bed and Breakfast run by Skinner Winslow, a “retired” doctor, his sister Rita Sue, and their maid Kindness, who wears a white veil over her face. Skinner, the local taxidermist, offers to notify Sheriff Todd.

Alan’s damaged station wagon is towed to a garage owned by the local mechanic Frank. Four college students, Gavin, Dan, Midori and Kelly, arrive looking for a good time. The next morning, newlyweds Michael and Maggie, discover Skinner’s Bed and Breakfast, as the perfect honeymoon getaway. Maggie is beautiful and wears a bright jade stone silver necklace around her neck. Kindness is jealous. When Bree’s children, Skylar and Travis, discover Skinner's unlocked taxidermy shop, they freak out. It’s full of grotesque animal experiments including a partially skinned coyote. Skinner finds them there and isn’t happy. Alan shows Sheriff Todd where he hit the mutilated stranger. Sheriff Todd tells Alan that the blood on the pavement is human. He’s treating the accident as vehicular manslaughter. Alan, a career fireman, is stunned. We learn that Skinner was once a plastic surgeon, but was stripped of his license. Bree tries unsuccessfully to make conversation with Kindness, who shuns any contact. Dan and Midori become sick and mysteriously disappear. Alan looking for Bree’s engagement ring in the station wagon luggage at the garage is brutally attacked and murdered by Frank. Gavin stumbles into an abandoned warehouse, which is really a laboratory and operating room, where he finds Frank with Dan and Alan’s bodies.

Skinner surprises Gavin, holding an armed crossbow, and fires an arrow bolt into Gavin, wounding him. Skinner straps Gavin onto a surgical table and tells him the maid Kindness is actually his wife. She suffers from a rare form of cancer that is eating her face away. He’s been trying to find a cure, including skin grafting. He starts skinning Gavin alive. Rita Sue drugs newlyweds Michael and Maggie. Michael awakes in Skinner’s operating room to find Maggie lying on a separate table – her face has been skinned and removed by Skinner. Michael is in shock – and pain, as Kindness helps prepare him next to be experimented with. Skinner removes the veiled mask from Kindness exposing a grotesquely deformed face -- her yellow skin stitched together like a tattered quilt. Part of her lower jaw bone is missing from which she drools uncontrollably. Skinner kisses the black opening where her mouth should be.

Frank now pursues Bree and the kids trying to kill them. Sheriff Todd comes to the rescue, shooting Frank and enabling them to escape, but an arrow bolt from Skinner’s crossbow takes him down. Kelly tries to join them, but is also killed by Skinner. Michael manages to crawl out of Skinner’s operating room before he’s skinned alive and links up with Bree and the kids on the run. They almost make it to Sheriff Todd’s blazer sitting in the parking lot, when Skinner shoots Bree with an arrow bolt through her side. Now unable to run, she begs Michael to flee with her children. Skinner advances on the wounded Bree and withdraws his knife, preferring skinning to a quick kill.

Bree fights for her life, not ready to give up. Her and Skinner battle, she’s too weak from loss of blood and succumbs. Skinner prepares for the kill, when Kindness arrives with Maggie’s jade silver necklace around her neck. She grabs Skinner’s hand, wanting to share the kill together. That’s all the time Bree needs, she lunges for Skinner’s cross bow and shoots him! Then calmly reloads and shoots him again. Kindness begins to wail, a mournful scream, she cradles the dead Skinner and tugs her mask down – revealing Maggie’s lower jaw wired to her face.

Bree jerks Maggie’s jade necklace loose from Kindness’ neck. Turns and stumbles to Sheriff Todd’s blazer to rejoin Michael and her kids. As they drive away into the rising sun.

Open on a Mississippi River steamboat, where strikingly handsome, LOTTIE DENO (28), fiery red hair dressed elegantly in fine European silk, squares off against a gambler in a high stakes poker game. Lottie bets it all, but lady luck isn’t with her tonight, as fiancé, JOHNNY GOLDEN (34), watches Lottie lose everything on one turn of the card. Later that night, Golden sneaks into the gambler’s state room and grabs the man’s billfold. Gambler wakes and gives chase, there’s a struggle, Golden stabs and kills the man, then flees, finding Lottie. There’s armed men now surrounding them, Golden flashes the cash at Lottie and tells her, “Find your own luck now!” …as he jumps over the ship rail.

Move to a dust covered San Antonio street, where a four-up stagecoach rolls into town. Several passengers exit, then Lottie steps down. Sudden loud gunfire, Deputy FRANK THURMOND (40),
chases two outlaws into town on horseback, almost runs over Lottie terrifying her. Later, she steps up to the busiest Faro table in town, where she’s surprised to see Frank doubling as the dealer. Lottie beats Frank for a large sum of cash and tells him she wants a job dealing Faro. Frank sees the potential and hires Lottie. Their relationship is business at first, but Frank eventually falls for Lottie and their feelings become mutual. Lottie befriends an older black woman MARY, a former slave, who teaches local orphan children how to read. Lottie helps financially support the orphans with some of her winnings, and we learn that Lottie has a much younger sister and that she was raised on large horse racing farm. Her father was killed in the Civil War and the family lost the plantation. Her mother died shortly after and Lottie’s sister was taken away to an orphanage. Lottie, on her own now, went out West with Golden, learning to gamble. She wants to buy back the family farm and get her sister, but can never save enough to accomplish her goals. Frank is forced to kill a man in a gambling dispute and flees to busy Fort Griffith, where Lottie joins him after finding a home for several orphans in San Angelo with the help of US Marshall Wyatt Earp. She faces off against Doc Holliday at the Faro tables, beating him and gets in a gunfight with a jealous Big Nose Kate. Johnny Golden arrives unannounced, he wants Lottie back, she was his good luck charm. Frank runs Johnny out of town and decides to leave Texas. He heads to the mining boom in Silver City, New Mexico, where Lottie follows him. They set up their own gambling hall and hotel, befriending a young boy of about age fourteen, Henry McCarty, alias Billy The Kid. Billy kills a man trying to steal from Frank and Lottie, then flees to Lincoln County to escape prosecution where he becomes wanted. Soon after the couple has enough money to buy a ranch outside of Deming, New Mexico, the newest shipping town on the southern railroad to California. Frank tells Lottie he wants to settle down and be a rancher. Lottie doesn’t want to give up the gambling hall.

Frank goes to the Territorial Capital in Santa Fe to charter a new bank, as now Golden arrives again in Silver City looking for Lottie. He tries to take her by force this time, but Lottie escapes with the help of the local Sheriff, who Golden kills with two outlaw brothers traveling with him. Frank arrives back in town to confront Golden and the brothers, but is beaten and shot. Frank manages to overcome the three men, killing Golden and one of the brothers. Frank finally asks Lottie to marry him, and she accepts. They sell the gambling hall and hotel in Silver City to settle in Deming. Frank is surprised and attacked by the revengeful second brother from Silver City, barely killing the brother, as now Wyatt Earp returns and brings a special surprise -- Lottie’s lost younger sister!

Open on two disheveled riders approaching fast at a full run across an open expanse of rolling
prairie, Wild Bill and California Joe. The frontier scouts flee for their lives from a small band of
renegade Kiowa Indians in close pursuit, an empty saddle horse blows hard alongside, the Kiowa
leader shakes a bloody scalp high above, shouts for the ‘long hairs’ to turn and fight. Wild Bill
announces that he's done scouting, he wants to get away from the senseless killings and accepts
the new position of Sheriff in neighboring Hays City. The frontier town is well known as "the cross
roads to hell", and soon Wild Bill is forced into a gunfight with two cavalry soldiers, killing both
men. The death of the youngest will come back to haunt him later in Deadwood. He moves on to
Abilene, Kansas, and now as town Marshal, views a riding and shooting exhibition by the beautiful
and charming Agnes Lake, a widow and Wild West show performer. They fall for each other and
Wild Bill promises to quit wearing a lawman's badge, then learns Agnes shot and killed her first
husband while performing, which may not have been an accident. Wild Bill tells Agnes he wants
to shed his image as a man-killer, but not before he confronts outlaw John Wesley Hardin, the
psychopathic murderer.

Wild Bill briefly joins Buffalo Bill and Texas Jack on the Eastern stage. The fearless lawman is
challenged as an actor, his time with Cody's group will be uncomfortable and short. He quits and
asks Agnes to marry him, which she does, but their time together will be unfulfilled, as gold is
soon discovered in the Black Hills. Agnes accepts her fate and succeeds to Wild Bill's wishes to
leave at once for the gold rush in Deadwood. California Joe rejoins him, and the two former scouts
team up with Charlie Utter and his younger brother Steve's wagon train departing for Deadwood.
Calamity Jane joins the group shortly after it leaves Cheyenne. This young, brash, and bold
temptress of the open plains tries to seduce Wild Bill. Events in Deadwood propel Wild Bill against
Montana tough Johnny Varnes and gunman Tim Brady. Brady kills Steve Utter, who is now
Calamity's love interest. Jack McCall becomes an unwillingly participant in Varnes attempts to get
rid of Wild Bill, a potential threat as the town’s first lawman. We soon learn that the young soldier
killed in Hays City by Wild Bill was Varnes' son. When McCall is challenged by Varnes to become
a real man and show courage, he is compelled to take action and kills Wild Bill after an
unsuccessful assassination attempt on Wild Bill by Brady and some of his gunmen.

McCall flees Deadwood to Laramie City with Varnes, Brady, and the other members of their
outlaw group. California Joe, with the help of Charlie Utter and Calamity Jane, diligently follow
the ruthless gang to Laramie City. A wild and climatic shootout ensues and Varnes and his gang
are decimated. McCall is intentionally spared the barrage of gunfire, and is promptly arrested for
Wild Bill's murder, then tried -- and hanged, as California Joe and Calamity Jane deliver a powerful
ending of frontier style justice to this fast-paced action Western.
Out of work actress Sophia can't seem to catch a break until her manager announces he's sending her to a Texas horse ranch to learn how to ride and rope for an upcoming Western movie that his director friend is casting. Sophia has recently been dumped by her fiancé. When she arrives at the ranch Sophia is surprised to learn the ranch owners are three single brothers -- older brother Owen, the ranch manager, level headed and accommodating; middle brother Clay is reasonable and grounded; and youngest brother Jesse, free spirited and aloof.

Clay is the firm hand of the group, he works with the ranch horses and everything has a reason to be where it is. Clay is tough, but fair, and when he starts working with Sophia they at once are at odds -- the city girl meets the cowboy. Sophia doesn’t like Clay and begs her manager to let her come back home, but he tells her to stay, she needs the acting job. We learn Clay once had a chance to be a singer, he chose the ranch and his family over a music career. Sophia catches him at night working on a new song he has been writing, a love ballad. She goes with younger brother Jesse to karaoke night and Clay shows up. The brothers now duel over a fun stomping, high octane song, Sophia is stunned that hard-nosed Clay can be so much fun. Sophia assumes Clay has a girlfriend in town, and curious she follows him a few nights later – but instead finds him at an elderly resident care facility at his mother's room. The brother’s mom is suffering from advanced Alzheimer's. This is also a different side of Clay that Sophia has not seen. Confused about her feelings for Clay, Sophia calls her best friend Mary Beth a costume designer for advice. Mary Beth shows up at the ranch with a suitcase full of sexy cowgirl clothes, she knows Sophia has feelings for Clay and wants her back in the dating game.

Just as things start to get close for Sophia and Clay, her manager calls and tells her to fly back home immediately. Mary Beth sent Sophia’s manager a video of her riding, roping, and shooting at the ranch. The movie director has decided to hire her! Sophia leaves without saying goodbye and Clay is hurt, he turns angry. The brothers host a local fund raising charity event and Clay sits by himself finishing the new love song he has been writing, now dedicated to Sophia – as she suddenly walks through the door. She turned down the acting job. She loves Clay. He gets on stage and sings the new love song, as they are reunite with family and friends.
